Monterey Harbor

Historic Monterey Harbor is located at the south end of the Monterey Bay, within the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The Municipal Marina is in the City of Monterey, off Del Monte Avenue, nestled between a working commercial wharf and the historic Fisherman's Wharf area with shops and Restaurants. The Harbor and Marina provide access to a variety of recreational, as well as, commercial opportunities for residents and visitors alike in this scenic setting.

Principal Species Landed:

Year Round: Groundfish (rockfish/flatfish), Sardines, market squid, Spot Prawns, Blackcod (Sablefish) and Petrale Sole

Seasonal: Salmon (spring/summer), Dungeness crab (winter)
