Meet Brian Williamson

Commercial fisherman Brian Williamson started out sport fishing as a child and loved it so much he decided to make fishing his full-time job.

In 2000, he bought the F/V KT Marie and began fishing commercially. For many years, Captain Williamson harvested rockfish on the little KT Marie.

Today Captain Williamson fishes for nearshore rockfish, salmon, albacore and Dungeness crab on the F/V Sandy B, a 36-foot classic wooden troller built in 1985 by Jack Daykin.

Captain Williamson has been married to Sheri (Chapman) since 2001; they have two children, a son and a daughter.

Captain Williamson generally sells his catch wholesale, but you can see Sandy B on the Morro Bay Embarcadero, and occasionally you’ll find his products featured in the daily specials at Tognazzini’s Dockside Restaurant and Tognazzini’s Too.
